Dr. Andrew Flum joined KCUC after completing his residency in the Department of Urology at Northwestern University in 2016. He attended college at the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated summa cum laude in 2006. He received his M.D. in 2010 from the University of Michigan Medical School.
Dr. Flum practices in all aspects of urology including kidney stones, genitourinary cancers, prostate issues and incontinence. He has specific interest and expertise in minimally-invasive treatment of large/complex kidney stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia, as well as robotic surgery. He utilizes the daVinci robotic surgical system to perform procedures for prostate cancer, kidney cancer and other kidney and bladder conditions.
Dr. Flum was actively engaged in research while at Northwestern, publishing numerous articles and presenting at regional and national meetings. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the Endourological Society. Dr. Flum is board certified by the American Board of Urology and licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri. He is married to Dr. Jennifer Flum, a pediatric anesthesiologist, and has two children.
