Dr. Hertzig has been practicing with KCUC since 2013 after completing training in general surgery and urology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. A Missouri native, she received her B.A in mathematics and chemistry and graduated with highest honors from the University of Kansas in 2004. She then received her M.D. in 2008 from the University of Kansas Medical Center. While in medical school, she was chosen for awards including the Merck Manual award for academic excellence and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She then moved to Rochester, MN to complete her internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Hertzig has presented at numerous national and regional meetings and has authored and co-authored many articles and abstracts in the field of urology. While at Mayo Clinic, she had extensive training in robotic surgery and treatment of cancers of the urinary tract. She has completed additional training at the Mayo Clinic in microsurgery.

Dr. Hertzig practices all aspects of general urology including kidney stone disease, urologic cancers, benign prostate conditions and incontinence. Dr. Hertzig is licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri. Dr. Hertzig is board certified with the American Board of Urology and she is a member of the American Urologic Association and the Society of Women in Urology.
