Dr. Terry Lee is a board-certified interventional radiologist with over a decade of experience in image-guided, minimally invasive procedures. He joins Kansas City Interventional Radiology as part of the group’s ongoing expansion in outpatient IR, bringing with him a reputation for clinical precision, patient-first care, and strong procedural outcomes.
Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City, followed by a residency in Radiology and a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Indiana University Medical Center, one of the most highly regarded training programs in the country.
Prior to joining IR Centers, Dr. Lee practiced at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, where he served as a key member of the hospital’s IR team, performing a wide variety of procedures across oncologic, vascular, and genitourinary specialties.
His procedural expertise includes:
- Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE)
- Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
- Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE)
- Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization (HAE)
- Tumor embolization and thermal ablation
- Venous interventions and hepatobiliary drainage
Dr. Lee’s approach is deeply aligned with KCIR’s mission: offering efficient, evidence-based outpatient solutions that reduce the burden of surgery and hospitalization. His leadership will be instrumental in advancing KCIR’s footprint across the Midwest and delivering patient-centered care in Kansas City.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Lee is known for his calm demeanor, strong communication skills, and dedication to innovation and collaboration.
