Dr. Qamar earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Kansas. He then earned his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Thereafter, he completed residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Louisville, James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
Dr. Qamar is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and licensed in both KS and MO. Dr. Qamar has extensive training and greater than 25 years of experience with prostate cancer treatment, including Proton Beam Therapy, Image-Guided Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IGMR/IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), High Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR), and Trans-perineal Prostate Brachytherapy. Dr. Qamar is a member of ASTRO (American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology) and has been named a Top Doctor – Kansas City as published in Kansas City Magazine the last three years.
